IHS forensics looks to state

The forensics season seems like it just started, and it’s already almost over.
So far, six IHS students have qualified for forensics state. Coach Regina Chriestenson said she is hoping for more students make the mark before the statewide competition, which is scheduled for May 3 in Wichita.
Those who have qualified so far include junior Trilby Bannister in humorous solo acting, junior Morgan Wilson in serious solo acting, junior Madison Luken in prose, junior Tyler Holloway and sophomore Caitie Venter in poetry and sophomore Clara Wicoff in oration.
There are only two meets remaining in the regular season, at Chanute and Fredonia, before the Southern Coffey County meet on April 11. The tournament will give the opportunity for those who have not yet qualified for state another chance.
