The wall idea was all started by a tweet which Trump said this: “SECURE THE BORDER! BUILD A WALL!” The wall’s height started at 35 to 40 feet high in early 2016, but then peaked at 50 ft in mid-campaign, then fell back to 32 in January of 2018. Trump, various times, has changed his ideas about design for the wall. Also during early 2016 Trump said the wall was going to be built out of concrete with no windows. Trump now says that he always meant that steel and see-through supplies could work also. Following Trump taking office, eight prototypes of wall designs were made, four were made out of concrete, and the rest was steel. Walls then ranged in height from 18 to 30 feet. Trump now claims he wants $5.7 billion for the wall, but just like the image of the wall, the price tag has changed multiple times.
