Senior IHS athletes sign letters of intent
February 4, 2016
Seniors Brice Aiello, Gus Luedke and Mason Key signed letters of intent to play football at Independence Community College and senior Ethan Sigg signed a letter of intent to play football at Butler Community College. These letters were signed at a high school assembly today, with family and friends present.
I would like to start this off by saying how proud I am of these boys. I loved having the opportunity to watch these boys grow over the years into great athletes. But on the other hand when Coach Kerr told me sister that no one cared about ACC when she asked why her and fellow classmate Keanen Badders would not be recognize on the school news like the boys that signed for football the other day did. That is terrible of a coach/ adult to say to a child that has worked their butts off to play a college sport. All of the student athletes that are going to college to further their career in the sport that they love should be recognized no matter where they are going. So saying this I think it would be far if ALL of the Iola High School seniors that got a scholarship should be recognized.
