Did you know you will be able to meet a real military dog? If you have been following along with the current Iola Reads Event for “Cracker! The Best Dog in Vietnam,” tonight Sgt. Michael Urquhart and Military Dog, Kane, from McConnell Air Force Base, will be here in Iola.
The duo will be visiting the third and fourth grades at Lincoln Elementary from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Fifth and sixth graders will be honored to meet them from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Iola Middle School.
If you are a community member that has been following along, tonight from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. will be a community presentation at the John Silas Bass North Community Community Building.
