On December 31, the Iola track team will be hosting the Jingle Bell Jog as a fundraiser.  The events begin at 10:30 a.m.  “We were planning on doing it last year, but we needed help making it possible. This year is [Dana] Daugharthy’s first year hosting with just him and the track team,” said junior Jonathan Rodewald.

Last year they had done it with Thrive. “We also need money for warm-ups because the track program doesn’t raise as much money as the baseball or football teams. We don’t get new things every year like the football does or the baseball team does,” said Rodewald.

This is his first time doing the Jingle Bell Jog. This year Rodewald will also be the Gingerbread Man that the kids have to chase, taking Chase Regehr’s place. It is $8 to get in, and $15 if you buy a shirt. The IHS seminar with the most participants will have a pizza party provided by the track team.
