Senior Privilege

Hang on for a minute...we're trying to find some more stories you might like.

As a new year sets in, there are many noticeable changes throughout the school, mostly centered around the shake up of the IHS staff. One change centered around the students is the new privilege held by all seniors to design a parking spot with themes of their own choosing. This was something that was sought out by the students toward the end of last year, after seeing how well it turned out for many other schools.

The parking spaces have done a great job of reflecting the varying personalities throughout the senior class. Seniors chose to use the opportunity to convey political messages, boast personal accolades, represent favorite teams, or just try their hand at some artistic patterns and designs. “I think giving kids the freedom to make their own parking spot was a great idea. It gives them a chance to express themselves without feeling singled out,” said senior Chloe Hageman.
